On August 11th Copper Spring Ranch hosted their 4th annual performance horse sale and a endees were able to be a part of history when 2-year-old DTF Time Traveler brought a record high auc on price of $170,000 for a 2-year-old barrel horse prospect. With 61 fantas c prospects consigned, the sale featured offspring of Copper Spring Ranch stallions Furyo hewind, Prime Talent and Firewater Canyon along with offspring of leading barrel horse sires Dash Ta Fame, Frenchmans Guy and many more excellent quality horses from guest consigners. Grossing $1.2 million, Copper Spring Ranch saw their best sale yet, and much of that $1.2 million was thanks to the sale of DTF Time Traveler. Sold to Bill McKesson of Dublin, Texas DTF Time Traveler was consigned by Bob and Darian Burt, owners and breeders of the late Dash Ta Fame. Dash Ta Fame is the leading barrel horse sire of all- me and he con nues to stamp his offspring with talent, grit and a lot of heart. DTF Time Traveler is by Dash Ta Fame and out of the 2005 Old Fort Days Futurity Champion Moon Light Martha by Marthas Six Moons, a former leading barrel horse sire and one of the top 10 leading broodmare sires of all- me. Owner of Copper Spring Ranch Karen Gilhousen was incredibly sa sfied with the sale and equally as happy for all the consigners for a very successful sale. "We are very excited for Bob and Darian Burt for having the high-selling horse, DTF Time Traveler," said Gilhousen, "We also want to express our gra tude to all of the buyers and individuals that supported our sale. The Burts, who were the volume guest consigner with six of their seven head selling for a total of $254,000, highly suggest anyone looking for their next champion barrel horse to a end one of Copper Spring Ranch sales. "We were very excited, grateful and honored to par cipate in the Copper Spring Ranch Sale," said Darian Burt. "It was classy in all ways--the place, sale, buyers and horses." The second high-seller of the sale was Copper Spring Ranches Peachy And Juicy. The stunning 2-year-old palomino mare is by leading sire Blazin Jetolena and out of proven performer and producer SX Frenchmans Peach by Frenchmans Guy. Peachy And Juicy is a half- sister to proven performers Fames To Blame and SX Dr Peacharita. She was sold to Todd Ma e of Lafaye e, Louisiana for $84,000. The third high-seller was TR Judges Doll, consigned Record Sale for Copper Spring Ranch by Thomas Ranch and sold to current WPRA World Standings Leader Hailey Kinsel of Cotulla, Texas for $65,000. TR Judges Doll is by the late leading sire and broodmare sire Judge Cash and out of two- me WPRA Reserve World Champion and two- me Na onal Finals Rodeo Champion TR Dashing Badger ("Dolly"). The fourth high-seller was Pop The Bubbly, sold to Todd Ma e who was the volume buyer, purchasing four head. Consigned by Copper Spring Ranch, Pop The Bubbly is the 2-year-old son of Furyo hewind and out of Champagne Lane by Dash Ta Fame. Champagne Lane is a full sister to Woodbridge, a son of Dash Ta Fame and one of his top siring sons. Rounding out the top five high-sellers was Fire Hazzard consigned by Kyle Edwards and Sue Smith. The buckskin yearling is by the late leading barrel horse sire Fire Water Flit and out of Daisy Duke Dash, a mul ple barrel futurity winning daughter of Dash Ta Fame. Fire Hazzard was sold to California to Larry Robinson for $40,000.
