Boys or girls may compete in the breakaway and barrel racing if contestant is under 15 years of age as of January 1st of current year. Entry fees to be set at $25.00 for junior events. Added money to either of these events would be up to the rodeo committees. No eye charge or stock charge or committee fee to be charged in these two events. All other IMPRA charges still apply. Money obtained through the breakaway and barrel racing to be set aside for added money at year end finals. Top 5 contestants in each said event will compete in the open finals. All others will compete at the 18/40 and #10 team roping finals. Must enter at least 2 (two) regular season rodeos and purchase and IMPRA membership card to be set at $30.00. If a contestant that is under 15 years old enters the 18/40 tie down roping the said contestant can enter the junior events but not the open events. Only two entries allowed at one rodeo. Calves or steers may be roped in the junior events but contestants must come out of the heeling box. This rule change was voted on an approved at the January 29th 2013 board of directors meeting. It will be in effect for the 2013 season starting with the first June rodeo. Membership must be purchased before entering any IMPRA or ICA rodeo. Call the IMPRA office to purchase your membership or you can send your membership into the office. Membership must be received 4 days prior to entries if you are mailing your membership. Judging Clinic May 11th 2013 Ramada Inn Pocatello ID 8:00 am. $50.00 fee to attend. This clinic will be a one day school this year. ImPRA Marketing Position Opening: The ImPRA is seeking an individual to promote the sport of rodeo & the ImPRA. Duties would include: • Contacting large corporate sponsors for the purpose of raising funds for the various sponsorships available, 4 The WrangleR, Horse and Rodeo News • May 5 - 19, 2013 including but not limited to the: Title Sponsorship, Saddle Sponsors & Buckle Sponsors. • Building relationships with sponsors to encourage their continued involvement from one year to the next. • Setting a sponsorship time line to ensure equal recognition and ease in contract renewals. • Availability to make presentations to potential sponsors regarding the extent and specifics of the sponsorship packages available. • Working closely with the ImPRA Board members to ensure awareness of sponsorship details through out the year. • Developing marketing strategies for each year and making them available to the Board of Directors at specified times (press releases, media appearances, etc.) • Researching and developing additional sponsorship opportunities such as the ImPRA finals Rodeo, contestant coats, queen contest, award sponsorships, etc. Compensation for duties would include: 20% for each Title Sponsor 20% of all Saddle sponsorship dollars 15% of all Buckle sponsorship dollars Additional sponsorships, if attained would be compensated at a rate of: 30% for anything $10,000 and above 20% for each sponsorship ranging from $5,000-$9,999.00 20% for each sponsorship in the $1000-$4,999.00 range 15% for other sponsorships brought in ($999.00 or less) Compensation would be paid to the Marketing Director as sponsorship contracts and fees are collected.
