May 5 - 19, 2013 • The WrangleR, Horse and Rodeo News 61 HORSE SHOW Montana Quarter Horse Association If you are intending to run for yearend awards, you need to be registered with MQHA before the first date you show. Points will not count until your registration is complete, including the MQHA membership form, a copy of your AQHA membership card (front and back), and your horses' papers. Please do this before the first show of the year, so I can best serve your membership needs at that time, rather than getting everyone signed up then. If you intend to show and run for year-end awards your horse must have an MQHA back-number ($5/year or $50 for a lifetime number). The MQHA booth will be at the Helena Spring Fest May 17-19, 2013 at the Lewis & Clark County Fairgrounds. Please stop by and visit with those at the booth, sign up for a membership, and buy some NFR raffle tickets and maybe even a few Youth Raffle MQHA Amateurs are having a NFR Rodeo Package raffle; the drawing will take place in July, tickets are $10 each or 6 for $50. Contact Tracy Brown or Lisa Fanelli for tickets and more details. MQHA Youth are having two raffles this summer; each raffle will have two $250 gift cards up for grabs. One will be drawn during the Youth Special Event at the Kalispell show, the other will be drawn at the Fall Kick Off in Columbus; they are selling 1,000 total tickets. At convention, we had some really need MQHA Logo'd jackets available for sale, Rita Church has had more made up, if you are interested in buying one, please contact her. The MQHA hosted show on Memorial Day weekend is right around the corner. MQHA is looking for volunteers of any shape and size to help us run the show better – gate people in particular. Any man (horse?) power you can supply to make our show a successful event is much appreciated, please contact Ruth Gates or Rita Church for more information.
