The Pink Buckle Barrel Race once again
knocked it out of the park a er their
2021 event which took place in Guthrie,
Oklahoma at the Lazy E Arena on October
5-10
th
. The pres gious event hosted 706
open entries, 463 owner and rider entries,
244 futurity entries, 217 derby entries
and 71 youth entries. Barrel racers and
barrel racing fans from all over traveled to
the historic Lazy E to witness some of the
best barrel racing in the business at the 4
th
annual event.
The Pink Buckle Barrel Race is open to
anyone riding a horse sired by one of fi y
Pink Buckle stallions and is the event of
the year if you love can-chasing. At the
Pink Buckle, each 'D' in the open has
$275,000 guaranteed payouts and pays
all the way down to 20
th
in each D.
The MVP of the event was a no-brainer.
Winning the first round of the futurity, the
futurity average and the open 1D average
was Pilot Point, Texas trainer Sharin Hall
aboard her homebred star Hello Stella by
The Goodbye Lane. This dynamic duo has
been blazing the cloverleaf pa ern all year
and cashing checks at almost every event
they enter, winning a whooping $163,858
for their excellent efforts at the 2021 Pink
Buckle Barrel Race. Hello Stella's Pink
Buckle Futurity Championship unofficially
sets the all- me leading futurity earnings
mark at $400,730- with three major
events le to go to finish out this futurity
year including the Ruby Buckle Regional
Race #3 in Memphis, Tennessee, BFA
World Championships and OKC Futurity.
