werner equine My name is Miles Werner. At Werner Equine, we pride ourselves on putting a solid foundation on young horses, that help them become top end ranch or arena prospects. I grew up outside of Douglas, Wyoming with my dad Jeff Werner who was well known for quality ranch horses. My love for colt starting has really developed over the last few years, thanks to my stepdad Shannon Wheeler. My program is built around each horse's needs, and the owner's wants. I normally require 60 days (dependent on horse & owner). This allows me the opportunity to access the horse, what the horse needs, and where to go from there. A big part of my program's success is having a lot of country to put days on one. The horses in my program are not just used in the arena, they are exposed to all aspects of ranch work. Werner Equine resides at my parent's ranch outside Edgerton, Wyoming. We are lucky to be a part of their ranch, and to be able to give our program's horses an opportunity to get outside and see a day's work. I have worked for Andrew Coats, a cutting horse trainer, and on several large ranches in Wyoming & Nevada. Each horse & client has different needs. Most clients are looking for either a nice ranch horse or an all- around prospect. This handles how we "tackle" our training program's goals, and we can fine tune almost any situation to help fit what the end goal for your equine partner is. My mentors include some of the best cowboys I know, and I can't list them all. The 2 men who taught me the most would be Jeff Werner and Shannon Wheeler. Without the guidance from them, I wouldn't be where I am. Werner Equine is a one stop shop! We offer training, sales prep for a sale or a consignment, we own and stand 3 stallions: Aint Seen Iceman Yet, PC So Frostin Royal, & Ivory Couture, as well as sell our own prospects. I enjoy teaching a horse that they have the potential to be rockstars and showing them how. We can't expect them to be great unless we tell them how great they can be! I look forward to working with you, and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out.
