Letter from the PubLisher
August is the month of running. We are all doing our last-minute summer things and
seem to be running around like crazy people. The summer is winding down, and for many,
school is about to start. At this time, we all wonder where summer went.
August is an exhilarating time to be in the northern country, especially with the upcoming fall
Futurities. The Royal Crown main event in Rock Springs is a highlight, featuring a thrilling new
side pot for their sale horses. This incentive is rapidly gaining prestige, and we can't wait to
see the exciting developments they have planned. If you don't have an RC-eligible horse, you
might just find your perfect match at their sale in Rock Springs!
We will start to see a ton of elite fall sales happening as well. Sale fitting has become a
must for sales, as it showcases the horses in the best way possible. We interviewed Maddie
Fantaskey, who is no stranger to the sale fitting process. She explains why it has become so
popular and helps to bring the highest amount for your horse. Sale fitting encompasses not
only grooming but also exercise and feeding.
We had a great time putting together this month's issue, and we're excited to hear your
thoughts! Your feedback is invaluable to us, so please remember that we're always open
to your story ideas. Thank you for being a part of the WRANGLER community and for your
continued support of our writers and our vision!
Sincerely,
Alicia Werner
