This year's show boasted 770 entries from three Canadian provinces and seven states. The show, managed by MRHA President Doug Robinson, ran efficiently with the help of secretaries Lou Bonds and Jana Day, as well as announcer, Julie Lazaro. And let's not forget the many volunteer gate folks and scribes. Judges for the event were Dori Schwartzenberger, Dan Huss, and Mac Weaver. The prizes were outstanding and included belt buckles, sheets, and jackets in addition to the NRHA Morrison and Lawson bronzes. Also this year, two Bob's Custom Saddles were awarded in the derby classes. Fundraisers included an exciting calcutta with 27 teams bringing in a total of over $6,000 (with a percentage being paid to MRHA); a silent auction; and a three-part raffle held for a 50 cc Kitalong scooter won by Rod Westrum of Williston, ND, a 16 gb I-Pad won by Callie Abing, and a show headstall won by Gina Wigen. But best the best part of all was the competition in the arena!
