The first series of Wyoming Bred races is planned for Wyoming Downs in Evanston, but there are still a lot of unknowns concerning the races - such as when (the tracks have until the March 11th Wyoming Pari-Mutuel Commission Meeting to finalize the number of racing days and the exact days they will be racing.) The amount of added money is also up in the air until the tracks can determine the amount of damage from the loss of revenue when the Historical Racing Machines were shut down. The following payment schedule is in effect: Wyoming Bred Futurity - Wyoming Downs Feb 15 To Nominate $100 March 15 Sustain $150 April 15 Sustain $150 Entry Fee $200 Wyoming Bred Derby - Wyoming Downs Feb 15 To Nominate $100 March 15 Sustain $100 April 15 Sustain $150 Entry Fee $100 Wyoming Bred Maturity - Wyoming Downs Feb 15 To Nominate $100 Entry Fee $250 Late Payment Schedule: After Feb 15th, but before March 15th, all payments due plus a $200 penalty. After March 15th, but before April 15th, all payments due plus a $300 penalty. After April 15th, a penalty of $1400 to enter trials. The payment schedule and form can be found on the WABRA website at www.wabra.org. Or send name, registration number, age, sex, sire, dam and date of foaling for the horse along with the owner and trainer address, phone and social security numbers to Pat Vogel, 418 Trigood Drive, Casper, WY 82609, 307-234-2929, along with payment. All horses must be registered Wyoming Bred to be eligible for the stakes races.
